It’s a Scorching Hot Summer!
Is anyone else feeling that summer heat already? It has been super hot here in Texas! Everyday has been in the 90s and humidity is off the charts!
All this heat means we need to find some healthy and delicious ways to cool off. And I’ve got a super easy and decadent tasting drink for you… an Iced Chocolate!
An Iced Chocolate?
You’ve probably heard of a hot chocolate before. Its the perfect drink on a cold day because it is chocolatey, comforting and warms you up. And since I’m a chocoholic, this is definitely one of my go-to drinks!
Well, a HOT chocolate is not exactly what we need right now in this already hot weather! What we really need is a cool and refreshing drink, with all the flavor of a hot chocolate.
So I made my Iced Chocolate exactly the same way as I would make a hot chocolate, and just poured it over ice.
To really take this Iced Chocolate to the next level, I used some of KITU’s Hazelnut Super Creamer. Yum!
KITU Super Coffee and Creamer
I first found KITU’s Super Coffee at my local HEB and instantly was drawn to the company. KITU was founded by Jordan, DeCicco who was a tired collegiate athlete in need of some serious energy. The energy drinks he found contained a bunch of artificial ingredients and were loaded with sugar. He concocted a super coffee in his dorm room, that was so good that his friends, coaches and professors started buying it! That eventually led to him teaming up with his two brothers, Jake and Jimmy, to form Kitu and start sharing their Super Coffee with the world!
Their Hazelnut Super Coffee is a huge favorite of mine! I love the nutty flavor in addition to drinking a coffee that is creamy and sweet, but has no sugar in it. The coffee, as well as their Creamer, is sweetened with monkfruit sweetener, one of my faves! I love monkfruit sweetener because it doesn’t cause a blood sugar spike – instead monkfruit sweetener may actually help to regulate blood sugar.
KITU Super Coffee also contains 10g of lactose-free protein and Medium Chain Triglyceride (MCT) oil from coconut oil, to help fuel your body with protein and healthy fats. Now that’s my kinda super drink!
In addition to Super Coffee, KITU also has Super Creamers. Just like the coffee, the Super Creamers are sweetened with monkfruit sweetener, contains MCT oil, and whey protein. It is keto friendly, but more than that, it tastes amazing! The Hazelnut Super Creamer has natural hazelnut flavoring which gives that sweet and nutty flavor to any drink you use it in. The Super Creamer also comes in Vanilla and the Original flavor.
A Perfect Pair
KITU Hazelnut Super Creamer is the perfect addition to an Iced Chocolate! I love that it adds sweetness and creaminess to the drink, without any additional sugar or lactose. It makes the Iced Chocolate even more delicious, without having to sacrifice my healthy eating goals.
Plus, this flavor combo totally reminds me of Nutella!
You could also use the KITU Original or Vanilla Super Creamers to add a little different flavor to the Iced Chocolate. Either Super Creamer would be amazing!
I hope you give this Iced Chocolate with KITU Hazelnut Super Creamer a try! It is a totally refreshing and delicious summer drink, and my family absolutely loved it! You could even make this for a crowd, then they could add whichever flavor of Super Creamer they like to it.
