Pineapple Kale Smoothie

New Year Smoothie!

A go-to healthy breakfast or post-workout smoothie to kick off the New Year!

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chopped
  • 2 loosely packed cups fresh or frozen kale
  • 1 ripe banana halved
  • cup vegan vanilla protein powder such as Vega Protein and Greens
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp hemp hearts
  • 2 cups water or milk e.g. almond milk coconut milk, etc.
  • 2 cups ice


  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend till very smooth. If needed, use a spoon or a tamper to ensure all the ingredients are blended completely.
  2. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Add more ice to thicken the smoothie or more water/milk to thin out the mixture.
