Healthy Buffalo Chicken Dip (Super Bowl Snacks!)
Are You Ready for some Football?
The Super Bowl is right around the corner and I am so excited for the..... Super Bowl Party Food!
This year, I wanted to put a healthy twist on Buffalo Chicken Dip. I had tried this dip one other time, years ago, but after talking to my friend, Jaki, she encouraged me to try it again.
And let me tell you, I am so glad that I did!
I managed to make a healthier Buffalo Chicken Dip that I am absolutely loving! It is spicy, creamy and so full of flavor. Plus it only uses 4 ingredients!
An Easy Last-Minute Buffalo Chicken Dip
Have you ever been invited to a party last minute, and felt bad about showing up without bringing anything?
This Buffalo Chicken Dip is a fantastic last minute dip. You literally only need 1 bowl, 4 ingredients and a spoon for mixing, and this recipe comes together in less than 10 minutes.
I even made a YouTube video showing how easy it is to make! Check it out here!
Instead of the usual cream cheese, and copious amounts of cheese that is used in most Buffalo Chicken Dips, I opted to use greek yogurt. I love the tangy, rich flavor and texture of greek yogurt. Plus there is lots of healthy protein in it too.
This dip is absolutely chock full of protein from the chicken and the greek yogurt. It is so fun to be able to create dip that is actually super filling while also being totally delicious!
Make This Dip Your Own!
This recipe is so versatile and you can easily adjust it to whatever ingredients you like best.
I used Frank's Red Hot Sauce in this dip, but feel free to use whatever your favorite hot sauce is. You can also adjust the heat level by increasing or decreasing the amount of hot sauce used.
If you like the dip more cheesy, feel free to add more cheese to your liking. Or sprinkle extra cheese on top before heating up the dip in the oven or microwave. I also like to garnish with some chopped green onions.
Serve this dip with the classic buffalo wings sides like celery sticks and carrot sticks. I also like the contrast of sweet mini peppers against the heat of the buffalo chicken dip.
I used canned, drained chicken breast for this recipe, but feel free to use any leftover chicken you may have or even a shredded, rotisserie chicken. Such easy options to make this dip even quicker!
I hope you give this recipe a try for you Super Bowl Party! If you do, let me know by tagging me on social media at nourish_with_renata on IG or Facebook. I'd love to see what you make!
