NEW VIDEO SERIES: How to Cook!

Why Cutting my Finger with a Knife was NOT my Fault

When I was about 16 years old, I accidentally cut my finger with a kitchen knife. I don't exactly remember what ingredient I was cutting, but, boy, do I remember staring at that deep cut in my hand. The knife had somehow slipped and there I was, in shock, wondering how this happened!

Have you ever cut your finger with a knife? I think we've all had that happen to us at some point.

It took a long time for me to realize that that this accident happened not because I was a young and foolish teenager, but because I didn't really know how to use the knife properly or even which knife to use!

I had never been taught how to chop, dice or pick the right knife for whatever ingredient I was going to be cooking. Honestly, the only way I learned was by watching someone else do it and then trying and failing, and trying again, to copy their movements.

Well, what if there was another way to learn?

What if I could learn from someone who I could watch AND hear them explain the things to watch out for, so that I didn't end up with another cut finger?

What if I could learn from someone that I could actually ask questions to so that I could put my mind at ease and feel more confident cooking?

Guess what???

YOU CAN!
