Pumpkin Spiced Chocolate Almonds
Happy Fall Y'all!
Welcome to start of ALL. THE. FALL. RECIPES! I have been working on so many awesome Fall recipes to share that not only capture the flavors of the season, but also are quick and easy to make. And are #secretlyhealthy, of course!
Often times, Fall cooking incorporates lots of decadent ingredients like sugar, butter and cream, so I wanted to come up with some healthier sweet treats recipes.
First up, are these Pumpkin Spiced Chocolate Almonds!
Healthy Snacking
As you know, I am a big advocate for healthy snacking. For me, eating every 2-3 hours has been super helpful to maintain my energy and blood sugar levels, as well as continuously supplying my body with the fuel it needs to run after kiddos, keep the house clean and (relatively) in order, be a nutrition coach and run this business!
When picking something to snack on, I always opt for a protein based snack first and foremost. This means something like a protein smoothie, greek yogurt or nuts. Almonds are one of my favorite snacks since they have protein, healthy fats and taste delicious! They are also so versatile and can be flavored in almost any way.
So with the Fall season upon us, I thought it would be fun to make Pumpkin Spiced Chocolate Almonds.
Pumpkin Spice and All Things Nice
There are lots of great brands of Pumpkin Spice at your local grocery store or online, but I decided to make my own at home, using what I already had in my spice cabinet.
Making your own Pumpkin Spice blend is so easy and you can customize it for whatever flavors you prefer. I like a lot of cinnamon and nutmeg in my spice blend, but if you prefer one of the other spices more, feel free to add more of that!
The other thing I love about making your own spice blend is that it will always be on hand to make all the other Fall recipes that I have coming up for you over the next few months!
Pumpkin Spiced Chocolate Almonds
These Pumpkin Spiced Chocolate Almonds are the perfect mix of crunchy, roasted nuts, gentle aromatic spices and the sweet, decadent flavor of dark chocolate.
Even better than that, they look so pretty and no one will even realize how quick and easy they are to make!
These Pumpkin Spiced Chocolate Almonds would make a great hostess gift or treat for your neighbors, friends or family!
